KAIA is a 5-member P-POP (Pinoy Pop/Philippine Pop) girl group, composed of Charice, Angela, Alexa, Sophia, and Charlotte. The quintet, signed with Sony Music Philippines, debuted with their single “BLAH BLAH” on 8 April 2022.Like their name, which was derived from the Cebuano word “kinaiya” pertaining to inner character and individuality, and is homophonous to the Filipino word “kaya” denoting capability and courage; and their dragonfly-inspired logo signifying beauty, strength, and underrated appeal — KAIA promises to put forward their abilities, charisma, and willpower to set foot on and to triumph in their dreams as P-POP artists.
